Personal Statement

My dream is to be successful in whatever direction I choose to go in, whether that is through athletics or education. I am currently a junior at Southwest DeKalb High School where I maintain at 3.2 GPA. To maintain my goal I am taking several courses that will prepare me for life and in the field of study that I will go in. Along with working out 4 to 5 days a week to prepare my body for the rigors of football, I also review old game film so I can improve my game along with helping out my teammates to improve their game. In addition I also participate in webinars that focus on mental edge which strengthen my mentality when it comes to football. Furthermore, while preparing my mind and body for football, as well as track I am active in my community by participating in various community service events. I live my life by this mantra, 'The tragedy of life doesn't lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach. It isn't a calamity to die with dreams unfulfilled, but it is a calamity not to dream. It is not a disgrace to reach the stars, but it is a disgrace to have no stars to reach for.'
